New Art and Random Adventure!

Hello all..just a quick post before bed...

Here is a new artwork I did for my best friend, (bff if you will) Tiffany. This is for her birthday and I am putting it into a black frame with a white mat to give to her! So excited:) I don't think she usually looks on this blog but if she does...Happy Birthday Tiff! You will get this on Thursday!



How was your weekend by the way? Mine was pretty fun for the most part....The husband and Jack Henry relaxed on the couch on Sunday....



I thought it was cute how Jack had his paw up like that...precious


The husband and I are trying to eat healthy so we bought lots of fruit and veggies...I thought they looked pretty in my bowl (wedding present!)



Too bad the whole eating healthy idea went out the window when the husband and I went to Tower City in downtown Cleveland. We found the most magical store in all of the land...called:


The Sweet Factory!



I took pictures! Check out all of those m&ms! So pretty:)


I got a bagful of delicious candies...


And definitely ate the whole bag on the way home on the train! So much for healthy eating...

Also I saw graffiti when I was downtown and thought it was so cool!



Kind of a bad picture but the husband was yelling at me for looking like a tourist (I was a little camera happy that day!)

Hope your weekend was great! I need to make it through this week...next week is my SPRING BREAK! I am ever so excited:)

Frente!

When I was in junior high (specifically 8th grade) in 1994ish, I was obsessed with the group Frente! I just found one of my favorite songs, Labor of Love on youtube and just had to share! My whole 8th grade year came flashing back to me:) I never knew what happened to the group...so sad. The lead singer has such a pretty voice:) Happy Friday to all! Enjoy your weekend!

Favorite Ring from Aunt Olive

Hello! Sorry I have not been writing much on here lately but my life has been crazy busy at the moment! I am taking a break from the craziness by having a cup of delicious coffee with you right now!



Just wanted to show you my sweet ring I found among some costume jewelry given to me by my Great Aunt Olive a long time ago! I don't really remember Aunt Olive, but a lot of my family members say I look a little like her...kind of cool:) Anyways...everything she has given me has come back into style and I just love it! This ring has become a staple among my accessories and I wear it almost every day! So here is to Aunt Olive and her amazing taste in jewelry!

Inspiration: 1980's Childcraft

I don't know if you remember the Childcraft books from the 70's and 80's?! They were published by World Book (remember when people actually had encyclopedias?!) My Grandmother was one of World Book's top sellers around 20-30 years ago. My family always scored free encyclopedias and lucky for me...the Childcraft How and Why Library



Recently I have been going through these old books and have been finding some very cool illustrations that really inspire me! Check them out!

Bike Love

The weather is sunny and almost 50 here...perfect bike riding weather (not super warm but I'm not complaining!) Here's to Bike Weather!

Reading....

Tonight I got a lot of reading done for my masters classes...



It is very hard to stay comfortable sometimes when reading...


I am reading from the book American Education by Joel Springs....some of it is interesting...


Yes...very interesting...



I finished reading about 100 pages tonight and got some homework done! Yay! Lost was a repeat thankgoodness...otherwise I would have stopped at 9 to watch! I am so pumped...this means I will be able to do some art this weekend! *sigh* happiness*

Bird Nests

Random post....I keep seeing bird nests in the trees everywhere I go...so cute and adorable! Spring is on its way!

P.S. I was at Rite Aid today and they had TONS of Easter candy! YUM...I was in heaven:) I bought some coconut Hershey kisses...they are divine! They taste like the Girl Scout Somoa cookies...delicious!

Crazy Surreal Collages

and then redraw them using any media they want. I will post the drawings when they are finished. I think they are going to be great!

got a haircut...and he looks fat! Time to start taking him on more walks!

New Art In Etsy

Hello all! Just wanted to say that I have some new artwork in my etsy shop. I added three new spring- like artworks and am super excited about them! Hope you are having a great day! It was actually really sunny and pretty here and I was able to go running outside! Yay! Sunshine makes such a difference!
