Bird prints

Sorry I have not written on here very much at all lately! I have been very busy with the end of the school year and my summer classes started so I am super stressed! I have been doing printmaking with my students for their final projects and ended up making linocut of my very own! Here is my little bird print! Happy Anniversary to my lovely parents! It is their 31st year together! Congrats Lovebirds!

Summer Art Studio!

Hello! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I only have three more weeks of school (not counting this week!) and I am so ready for summer! Last weekend I even opened up my summer art studio...



This is a little room off of our garage that has the perfect amount of space and light to be my painting studio! I just love it! Let me take you on a little tour...


This is my little table that I got for $10 at a garage sale and painted white! Perfect table for collaging on...I try to keep it clean!

Next up is the view of my backyard:


In the summer I have a beautiful garden that I overlook...right now there is not too much going on though!

Here are some paintings I am currently working on....I hope to finish them soon. I am planning on adding lots of collage on top of the painted canvases.

Life is Art

This was the theme for our annual spring art show. We had our art show on Tuesday and it was a huge success! Here are some pictures from the show:

I am so glad the art show was successful! I am also glad it is done! It is so fun but so much work putting it all together! Luckily I have three other art teachers and lots of helpful students to work with in putting this together!

The Sea and Cake

I just love this band and it's name! Two of my favorite things in this world, the sea and cake! The video kind of makes me a little nauseous though..what do you think?

The Lilacs...

This morning I went and picked some lilacs from our backyard. Yay! Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers! They smell divine!

He just loves to smell (and sometimes eat) them.
