Mini Garden Painting

Well, the week is almost over!  Wow..it is really flying by!  Hope all is well with you, I have just been painting away in my little studio!  Here is a mini painting inspired by my garden that I just completed:

I just love summer...I feel like everywhere you look there is some sort of inspiration:)  Well I am off, I have LOTS of errands to do but hopefully I will get some painting time in today:)

In the studio...

I have been working on a new artwork in my little studio.  Above are fragments from the new artwork.  I want the colors in this piece to be really soft and airy looking.  It will be more of a spring scene because I am already dreaming of warmer weather!

Right now when I look out my window all I see is white and blue because of all of this snow!  It is very pretty but I am already hoping the winter is a short one and spring comes quickly!

Speaking of white...

In my studio I always have my little white bird nearby.  My own little white  still life:)  He gives me inspiration and is a kind of a good luck charm.  Is there anything you keep nearby for inspiration as you work?

Well I am off to continue working on my latest artwork.  I am on my second cup of coffee and I have the music playing (I am listening to the Phoenix channel on pandora, my favorite channel!) It is time to work!

Working away...

I have an art show coming up November 14th (so excited) and have been creating some new art for the show.

I started collaging some organic branches and leaves to the backgrounds:




Next I will be collaging some little birds and maybe adding some hand-painted elements to the pieces. So exciting and so much to do!

Oh and guess what I bought...fairy lights!



I thought they were so cute and totally brightened up my desk! The coolest thing about them is that they plug into your laptop with a usb drive. How clever!

Alas, I finally have gotten around to putting new artwork into my little etsy store!
