Saturday Surprise:)

Good Morning Lovelies!  Hope everything is going well with you!  I had a fantastic Friday night celebrating my birthday with my family.  I even got to have peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream as my birthday "cake".  I have been craving peach cobbler for a while now so it was very exciting for me:)

Today I am off to a cookout with some wonderful friends.  Love summer cookouts!  Actually, I love cookouts anytime of the year:)
I actually also have some fun news to share...it is kind of big news.....

It involves a room we are working on:

Here are some things I would like to put in this room:

The husband and I are having a baby girl!  She is due December 18th and we are super excited:)  I am on my 22nd week and feel very good so far!  I am still running every day (at a much slower pace of course!) and have had major cravings for fruit and vanilla ice cream!  I just wanted to share this exciting news with you!

Well I am off to look for more fun baby items:)  I am so excited to plan her nursery!

Have a great Saturday

Return to blogging!

I am back. I have not been blogging for a couple of weeks in order to gather my thoughts and ideas together. Life has been very crazy and I kind of needed a break from my computer in general.

So...Hello again! How have you been?

Happy Labor Day weekend...I hope you are enjoying it, I know I am!

Yesterday the husband and I went kayaking in Lake Erie...it was such a beautiful day!
We had a cookout last night. I honestly made nothing...I was just along for the food:)
The husband made: Asparagus, Corn on the Cob and Shrimp....yum!

Aren't my napkins cute?! I think adorable napkins are a necessity in dining! They just make everything look great:)

Art-wise, I have been focusing on drawing and painting more realistically. Since school is back in session, I find that I need to be on top of my game more when helping students. Before school started I completed the following artworks (not realistic at all!):

A cafe painting that hangs in my kitchen:

3 Vase Series:

Well I hope your weekend is fantastic! I am off to go running now and then the husband and I are taking a train downtown Cleveland for an Indians game! I am not much of a baseball fan but love to go into the city and sitting in the sun sounds great:)

Cafe!

This is a painting I am working on for my kitchen. It needs a lot more work but I kind of like the progress I have made so far. I love cafes and the idea of having a painting of a cafe in my kitchen makes me happy:) Alfresco dining all year round!

The 3 Clever Vases

I just added a new artwork to my etsy shop called the 3 Clever Vases

Here is their story:

The 3 Clever Vases perched on a ledge in a charming cafe. They enjoyed the people watching and dished about the latest gossip. Some might say they were shallow but they prided themselves as being quite witty and wise.

This artwork would look great in a modern home or lovely little cottage where the 3 Clever Vases would have loads to gossip about!

Cafe

Lets go to a little cafe for an espresso or a cup of coffee!

I just adore these little pink tablecloths!

Perfectly made espresso! Very hard to do without an amazingly expensive espresso machine!

Here is the husband with his espresso

Even little birdies enjoy a little caffeine in the morning!
Ok..that is pushing it...but you never know!

Here's to delicious cups of coffee or espressos on lazy Sundays! Have a fun day!
